There’s exciting news from the world of SuperKitties—a fresh face has joined the team!
Meet Willa the Wildcat, the newest addition to this purr-fectly heroic group. Willa joins forces with the fearless feline foursome: Ginny, Sparks, Buddy, and Bitsy. Together, they form a formidable lineup of furry superheroes.
In the special episode titled “The New SuperKitty,” which premiered on Disney Jr. on August 6, Willa steps into the spotlight. She demonstrates her potential to be a SuperKitty by aiding the team in thwarting the mischievous Cat Burglar and the Glamsters from seizing Kittydale. Through her bravery, Willa earns her stripes as the much-anticipated fifth member of the team.
To celebrate Willa’s grand entrance, Disney Jr. unveiled a dynamic music video titled “Ready to Su-Purr Roar.” This lively video showcases all five SuperKitties in action, highlighting their unity and strength.
In the video, Willa’s voice rings out with an empowering message: “When you’re brave, smart, strong, and kind, you’re ready to be SuperKitty ‘roar-some.’”
Fans will see more of Willa later this year when the SuperKitties return for two holiday-themed specials.
In Howl-O-Ween Charm, a group of Trixters escapes into Kittydale after the Howl-o-ween Cat’s charm is stolen. The SuperKitties set out to return them to the charm before their tricks ruin the town’s Halloween celebration.
The Glamsters return in Friendsgiving Feast. This time, the pair steals treats and decorations from around Kittydale, leaving the SuperKitties and Willa to save the town’s Friendsgiving traditions. Jenifer Lewis guest stars as Evie’s grandmother, Glammy, while Henry Winkler voices Sam and Eddie’s Uncle Tony.
Created by Paula Rosenthal, SuperKitties premiered in 2023 and follows a group of superhero kittens who work together to help the residents of Kittydale.
The Season 3 voice cast includes Thea Gallagher as Willa, Emma Berman as Ginny, Cruz Flateau as Sparks, Landon Chase Dubois as Buddy and Pyper Braun as Bitsy. Justin Guarini voices Cat Burglar, while Ginnifer Goodwin and Utkarsh Ambudkar voice the Glamsters.
The New SuperKitty is now streaming on Disney+, along with the first three seasons of SuperKitties.
