Tragedy has struck the Nollywood industry with the passing of veteran actor, Tom Njemanze.

According to a statement from movie producer, Stanley Ontop, Tom Njemanze p@ssed away on July 18, 2025.

The post reads,“Good afternoon everyone. It’s a sad moment for Nollywood as we just received confirmation from Tom Njemanze’s family that he passed away yesterday due to health complications. We did our best, but God knows best. Rest in peace, legend”.

Notably, Stanley Ontop had been advocating for financial support to aid Tom Njemanze’s treatment before his passing.

Tom Njemanze’s passing leaves a irreplaceable void in Nollywood.

The veteran actor’s contributions to the industry, through iconic roles in films like “Died Wretched,” “Issakaba,” “Osuofia in London,” and “Twin Brothers,” will forever be remembered.

His legacy continues to inspire a new generation of actors, and his absence will be deeply felt by fans and industry colleagues.
