New information has emerged regarding the death of NFL athlete Marshawn Kneeland.
Following the announcement of the Dallas Cowboys defensive end’s demise, Texas authorities revealed that Kneeland’s death was a suspected suicide. This tragic event occurred after a vehicular pursuit with law enforcement.
As detailed in a press release, the incident unfolded on November 5, 2025. At around 10:39 p.m., officers from the Frisco Police Department were called to assist the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) in locating a car that had eluded state troopers during a chase that led into Frisco. The vehicle was lost from sight but was subsequently discovered minutes later, crashed on the southbound Dallas Parkway near Warren Parkway.
The statement further explained that initial reports identified a man, later confirmed to be 24-year-old Marshawn Kneeland from Plano, Texas, fleeing the crash site on foot. In response, officers set up a perimeter and began a search operation, utilizing FPD K-9 and drone units for assistance.
During this search, police learned that Kneeland had previously communicated suicidal thoughts. Tragically, his body was discovered at 1:31 a.m. local time.
