Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line Has Fish Hook Safely Removed from Head

Florida Georgia Line’s dynamic duo, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, took center stage once again at the CMA Fest after a hiatus lasting several years.

Renowned country lyricist Tyler Hubbard faced an unusual predicament that was stuck in his mind—quite literally.

While on a camping expedition with his wife, Hayley Hubbard, and their children—Olivia Rose, 8, Luca Reed, 6, and Atlas Roy, 5—the 39-year-old famed for his hits with Florida Georgia Line, struggled to remove a fishing hook that had lodged itself in his scalp.

On July 26, Hayley shared a video on Instagram capturing the incident. As she tended to the nasty wound, Tyler wryly remarked, “Breakfast had to wait.”

Despite acknowledging the sharp pain from the injury, the “Wish You Would” singer remained composed. In the video, one of his children queried him off-camera about the mishap. Tyler calmly assured them, “It’s probably not bleeding a lot, but it might bleed a little.”

For her part, Hayley, also 39—who stepped in as the impromptu surgeon—took a moment to understand exactly where the barb had gotten stuck, though Tyler didn’t explain the backstory behind the accident.
