Prepare to welcome Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the entire crew back to the big screen this summer.
Over three decades since Toy Story first captivated audiences with its enchanting concept of sentient toys, Disney and Pixar are bringing us Toy Story 5, continuing the much-loved saga.
This installment presents a unique challenge for the toys: navigating the digital age.
Disney reveals that the familiar friends—Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and others—are confronted by Lilypad, a tablet with firm ideas about what’s ideal for Bonnie. As digital distractions vie for children’s focus, these toys must demonstrate once more the value of imaginative play.
The movie features the return of cherished voices, including Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, and Tony Hale as Forky. New to the lineup is Greta Lee, who voices Lilypad, while Conan O’Brien adds his flair as a newcomer named Smarty Pants.
The film reunites many of the franchise’s fan-favorite voices, including Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, and Tony Hale as Forky. Greta Lee joins the cast as Lilypad, while Conan O’Brien lends his voice to a new character named Smarty Pants.
The cast also includes Scarlett Spears as Bonnie, Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Wallace Shawn as Rex, John Ratzenberger as Hamm, and Blake Clark as Slinky Dog.
Several new faces are also joining the Toy Story universe, including Craig Robinson as Atlas, a talking GPS hippo toy; Shelby Rabara as the camera toy Snappy; and Matty Matheson as Dr. Nutcase.
BCK readers will also want to keep an eye out for Mykal-Michelle Harris, who voices Blaze, an independent 8-year-old animal lover.Â
Krys Marshall also joins the cast as Blaze’s mom, a character navigating the growing influence of technology in her child’s life.
Will Woody, Buzz, and the gang be able to compete with tablets and technology, or is playtime about to change forever?
Toy Story 5 opens exclusively in theaters nationwide on June 19, 2026.
