BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — The Bristol, Virginia Police Department (BVPD) announced on Friday that further charges have been brought forward relating to a tragic incident on April 23, in which a three-year-old boy lost his life when a farm tractor rolled over onto him.
Initial investigations revealed that the child was sitting on the lap of his father, 21-year-old Austin Tyler-Raymond Tester, who was driving the tractor at the time. Authorities noted that Tester left the scene and delayed contacting emergency services.
According to the BVPD, the ongoing investigation found that Austin Tester allegedly made a phone call to his mother, Kelly Tester, at 11:17 a.m. on April 23, before reaching out to emergency services. Kelly Tester reportedly arrived at the location “within minutes,” but neither of them contacted 911, as stated by the police.
