A tragic collision resulted in the deaths of a male passenger and a toddler, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed to the California Post.
The accident unfolded early Sunday morning when a vehicle moving south on Vista Del Mar in Playa Del Rey veered into the northbound lanes, causing a two-car crash.
Authorities are still investigating what led to the vehicle crossing lanes, and additional details have not yet been released.
The crash took place around 4:30 a.m. on the 6800 block of Vista Del Mar, close to Culver Boulevard. Officers arriving at the scene found the front-seat passenger had died from the impact.
A 28-year-old Hispanic man, along with a juvenile and a toddler, were rushed to a nearby hospital. Sadly, the toddler succumbed to their injuries shortly after.
The extend of injuries for the survivors is not known.
