SAVANNAH, Ga. () — A gentle cold front is set to pass through the region, offering a short-lived dip in temperatures on Monday, followed by a warmer stretch for the rest of the week.

Sunday saw early fog and a brisk morning before giving way to plentiful sunshine and a pleasantly mild afternoon. By late Sunday night, a dry, subtle cold front is expected to sweep through the area. This will usher in brisk northeasterly winds, resulting in a cooler Monday with temperatures reaching the upper 50s to lower 60s. Expect partly cloudy skies with winds blowing steadily between 10 to 15 mph.
However, this cool spell will be fleeting as the remainder of the week promises milder weather. From Tuesday through the weekend, temperatures will climb into the 70s. The forecast remains dry throughout, including on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Both festive days will enjoy mostly sunny skies, occasionally dotted with clouds, but the warmth will prevail. Morning temperatures will start in the upper 40s to lower 50s, with each subsequent morning becoming progressively milder as the weekend approaches.
