DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — Beginning Feb. 26, Decatur’s Brush College Road underpass will be closed until the end of October, city officials announced.
The long-term closure will affect Brush College Road between Olive Street and Hickory Street. It comes as part of a larger overpass project. Officials said motorists will not be able to travel through the road’s construction zone, so a detour through 22nd Street is recommended.
City officials provided a map of the closure:
Through the same time period, a short stretch of Brush College Road north of Faries Parkway will also be reduced from four lanes to two. The eastern lanes will stay passable, as seen below:
Businesses along the road will remain open and accessible during this time.
