In a commendable response to the increasing burden of gas prices, a community-driven initiative unfolded in Danville, Illinois, courtesy of the compassionate efforts of Mosaic City Church. This past Saturday, the church’s leaders orchestrated their inaugural gas giveaway at the Oasis Gas Station, an event marked by generosity and kindness. By the end of the day, they had filled up the tanks of 80 vehicles, extending a lifeline to those grappling with financial strain.

As the Easter holiday approached, the church’s lead pastor, LeStan Hoskins, was motivated by a desire to give back to the community. “Especially with Easter a week away, we felt it was crucial to step up and support our neighbors,” Hoskins shared. He emphasized the church’s commitment to making a tangible impact and raising awareness about their congregation’s mission. “We want to be there in times of need, and we want people to know that we’re here,” he continued. “The church is not a building; the church is a people. So we want to be the people who are out in the community being the hands and the feet of Jesus.”
