AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. () – Silver Bluff Bulldogs head football coach De’Angelo Bryant has confirmed to NewsChannel 6 that he is leaving the program after six seasons with is alma mater.
Bryant led the program to a 38-26 record in those six seasons. In 2021 Silver Bluff finished with a 12-1 record, won the region championship and played for the state title in class 2A.
33 players signed to play at the collegiate level with Bryant as the Bulldogs head coach. Bryant also was on the Team South Carolina Border Bowl staff for several games, including as head coach two years ago.
Bryant is expected to be named as the new head football coach at Gray Collegiate. Gray Collegiate is a private charter school that recently was reclassified from 2A to 4A by the South Carolina High School League. They will play in the same 4A region as Aiken, North Augusta, Midland Valley and South Aiken when reclassification takes place next season.
