A serious traffic incident in Decatur has left a 72-year-old man critically injured following a collision on Sunday afternoon. Authorities confirmed that the accident occurred just before 1 p.m., near the busy intersection of South Main and East Wood Streets.
According to the Decatur Police Department, the crash involved two vehicles: a Dodge Sedan traveling south on Main Street and a Toyota Camry heading west on Wood Street. The Dodge Sedan ran a red light at the intersection, colliding with the Camry, which was attempting to proceed through the intersection under a yellow light.
