Augusta
One noteworthy event is hosted by Round Room, a prominent Verizon authorized retailer. Their annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway will kick off at 1 p.m. at the Verizon store located at 3120 Peach Orchard Road in Augusta. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as complimentary backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Blythe
Over in Blythe, the local community is pulling together for a lively Back to School Bash and School Supply Giveaway. Set to take place at the Blythe Veteran’s Park Pavilion from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., this event requires students to be present to collect their school supplies. While enjoying free face painting and haircut coupons, attendees can also indulge in hot dogs, chips, and take a refreshing plunge down the water slide. Supplies are limited, so it’s wise to get there early.
Wrens
For a triple treat in Wrens, the Wrens SDA Church is organizing a school supply giveaway at the Rabun Community Center.
