SAVANNAH, Ga () – Easter Sunday is quickly approaching and is set for this Sunday, March 31st!
Outside activities are very common for Easter Sunday, like egg hunts and Sunday Services, so all eyes are on this year’s forecast. Easter weather can go either way, chilly or warm, and sunny or rainy. Let’s take a look back at the past five Easters.
Easter usually has an average high right around 75 degrees and an average low in the low 50s. The past few Easters have fallen right around or just above our average high. Those days have been relatively dry as well. This is with the exception of last year, which was chilly and wet. Savannah only saw a high of 63 degrees and 0.13 inches of rain was recorded.
What can we expect this year? Well, the good news is that it’s looking dry and warm. High pressure is in control this year bringing sunshine for all of Easter weekend. Highs on Good Friday rise to the low 70s with sunshine and to the upper 70s with sunshine on Saturday!
On Easter Sunday this year, we are expecting sunshine to continue as we warm up even more. Highs on Easter are expected to reach the low 80s.
