SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Multiple agencies responded to a fire Friday morning at an apartment building in Sullivan County.
According to Jim Everhart, Deputy Fire Chief with the Warriors Path Volunteer Fire Department, crews responded to a fire in the 5000 block of Fort Henry Drive just after 5 a.m.
Everhart confirmed to News Channel 11 that no injuries were reported.
Two apartments were heavily damaged due to the fire, Everhart said. One unit has smoke and water damage, and the other experienced water damage.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office stated that an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
The Avoca Volunteer Fire Department, Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department, Sullivan County Volunteer Fire Department, Sullivan West Volunteer Fire Department, Gray Volunteer Fire Department and Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the fire.
