The convention featured multiple genres and fandoms, and spotlighted a range of art mediums and styles. Artists and entrepreneurs had the chance to sell their creative products, as well.
The convention hosted meet-and-greets with famous voice actresses, comic book legends and more to make the day even more exciting. JohnsonCityCon welcomed the following guests:
- Sam Dela Rosa- Comic Book Artist Legend
- Laurie Hymes- Voice Actress
- Jennifer Cihi- Singing Voice Actress
- Matthew Atchley- Actor and Artist
Fans of anime enjoyed a live Sailor Moon concert, as well. News Channel 11 spoke with Jennifer Cihi, the singing voice of Sailor Moon.
“I think bringing Sailor Moon to smaller markets is really fun for me. I get to do, like I said, be up close and personal with the fans, and they get to see a whole concert that they would have been able to see. And just meeting people. So it’s a really fun experience,” Cihi said.
JohnsonCityCon collected toy and comic book donations for local charities and shelters at the event, according to the convention’s website.
