Ex-Springfield Assistant Principal Admits Guilt in Student Battery Case

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The former assistant principal of Lanphier High School, Christopher Hampsey, has been sentenced to court supervision and community service following a guilty plea in a case involving battery against students.

According to Sangamon County court records, Hampsey admitted guilt last month to a single misdemeanor battery charge, which was the only accusation brought against him.
