BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — The NASCAR Cup Series and Craftsman Truck Series will return to Bristol Motor Speedway for the first spring race on concrete since 2020.

This year’s spring race features a throwback theme complete with a retro Food City 500 logo and old-school red-and-white painted walls around the track.

The speedway is also paying homage to the Petty family’s 75th year in the sport with a special hat statue located in the fan zone.

Sunday’s race will also be the fourth time the Food City 500 has been held on St. Patrick’s Day.
