
EVANS, Ga. () – Authorities in Columbia County have charged four individuals in connection with a drive-by shooting incident reported on Tuesday, according to information from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
“During our investigation, we determined that several occupants discharged firearms from within the vehicle,” the sheriff’s office stated on July 7. “A handgun was retrieved at the location of the incident.”
The sheriff’s office has released the names of the suspects, all of whom live in Evans:
All four are being charged with Felony Drive By Shooting for shots that were allegedly fired from an SUV while traveling on multiple roadways in Columbia County. Each are being transported to the Columbia County Detention Center with no bond.
“It appears the roof of Jeff’s Sewing and Vacuum located on the 3800 block of Washington Road was damaged by one of the gunshots,” the sheriff’s office said. “There were no other reports of damage or injuries.”
