Owner Vaughn Kimberley envisions Haypenny as more than just a store—it’s a valuable addition meant to enhance the community’s shopping experience.
“People often express surprise when they learn we are open 14 hours a day, seven days a week,” Kimberley explained. “I always remind them that without such hours, we wouldn’t truly fulfill our role as a convenient store,” he added with a smile.
He said the store will soon have wine and beer for purchase, and he’s planning a grand opening. The date is not yet set, but is expected to be later this summer.
