Man sentenced in 2022 Greeneville shooting death

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Ronald Hale pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in a Greene County courtroom on Monday.

Hale was arrested in February 2022 after police found Phillip Seay dead from multiple gunshot wounds at a Greeneville home.

On Tuesday, Hale was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the murder of Seay after pleading guilty.

Hale had originally been charged with first-degree murder.
