Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Steps In After Officer Injured in West Alabama Traffic Stop Shooting

0

GREENSBORO, Ala. (WIAT) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has assumed control of the investigation into a Greensboro police officer who was shot while on duty Thursday evening.

The incident occurred during a traffic stop on Blount Street in Greensboro around 7:30 p.m. The officer, whose name has not been released, was reportedly shot by Robert Williams, the driver involved in the stop. In response, the officer returned fire, striking the 64-year-old Williams. Williams was transported to Hale County Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The officer was also hospitalized, though details regarding their condition have not yet been disclosed.

In a statement, ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor expressed his concern and support: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured Greensboro Police Officer and his family as he continues to receive care. What began as a traffic stop, which is never routine, quickly turned into a life-threatening situation, underscoring the dangers officers face every day. Incidents like this weigh heavily on the entire law enforcement community. We are praying for the officer’s full recovery and will continue to stand alongside the family and fellow officers during this difficult time.”

New Mugshot of Tiger Woods in Inmate Attire Surfaces Online

0

A new mugshot of Tiger Woods has surfaced following his recent DUI arrest.

The 50-year-old golfing icon was apprehended and detained at the Martin County jail on March 27. The incident occurred after Woods overturned his SUV while speeding to overtake a truck and trailer on Jupiter Island, Florida, a locale known for its affluent residents. Authorities discovered two pills in his possession at the time.

Subsequent to Woods’ announcement of taking a hiatus from golf to prioritize his health and seek treatment, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office unveiled a second mugshot of the 15-time major champion.

In this latest image, Woods appears weary and unkempt, donned in what seems to be a navy inmate uniform, his expression somber as he faces the camera.

This contrasts with the initial mugshot released shortly after his arrest, where he was still clad in the same blue polo shirt he wore at the crash scene.

After cops found Woods ‘dazed and sweaty’ with two opioid pills in his pocket at the scene, he was arrested for DUI, property damage and failure to submit to a lawful test.

The police affidavit said Woods was ‘limping and stumbling’ during a field sobriety test. After completing a number of exercises, Woods was deemed unfit to be driving his car.

He had been traveling at ‘high speeds’ on a residential road and after the crash showed ‘signs of impairment,’ Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said, adding that investigators believe he had taken some kind of medication or drug.

He described Woods as lethargic and said he agreed to a breathalyzer test that showed no signs of alcohol, but he refused a urine test and was arrested.

The latest mugshot comes after police bodycam footage was released on Thursday, showing Woods in the backseat of a cop car, yawning wildly, struggling to contain a bout of hiccups, and briefly falling asleep.

Earlier footage from the crash scene showed the remarkable moment he walked away from police officers and then claimed to have been on the phone to President Trump.

Woods is believed to have traveled to a facility in Zurich, Switzerland on Friday – one week on from the incident –  after a judge granted him permission to leave the country in order to do so with more privacy than in the United States.

His private jet landed in the Swiss city shortly after Woods announced in a statement this week that he would be ‘seeking treatment and focusing on my health.’

It is as yet unclear whether Woods was on the plane as it headed to Europe, but Switzerland is believed to be home to some of the most expensive and luxurious private treatment facilities in the world.

TMZ reports that some facilities in Zurich even have ‘one-client admittance’, meaning that only Woods would be at the facility, granting him the privacy he desires.

Woods’ potential arrival in Switzerland for treatment comes just hours after his girlfriend Vanessa Trump broke her silence on the arrest, posting a supportive message to Tiger on her Instagram account.

Alongside a photo of the pair sharing an embrace, she wrote – quite simply: ‘Love you’.

The Daily Mail understands that behind the scenes Vanessa, 48, has been pushing Woods to get the best care possible and that she won’t stand for another repeat of the troubles that have blighted Woods’ life away from sport.

Last week’s car crash was the fourth occasion Woods has been involved in an accident since 2009.

The first came when Woods drove into a fire hydrant outside his home, fleeing after ex-wife Elin Nordegren had discovered he had been cheating.

In 2017, police found him asleep at the wheel on the side of the road with the engine running. He was arrested then, too, for DUI with Woods blaming an ‘unexpected reaction’ to prescription medication for his condition. He later checked into rehab.

In 2021, he rolled his car at high speed in California so badly that he broke his right leg in multiple places and there were fears that he could have faced amputation.

Man Attacks Woman Over Mac and Cheese, Damaging Her New Tattoo, Police Report

Inset: Steven Wolfe (Phelps County Jail). Background: The defendant”s purported residence in Rolla, Mo. (Google Maps).

In a shocking series of events in Missouri, a man has been arrested following a disturbing altercation that left a woman with severe injuries. This violent incident reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over food, according to state police.

Steven Wolfe, a 25-year-old from Rolla, now faces serious legal repercussions. He has been charged with first-degree assault, a grave accusation that points to causing significant physical harm. The Rolla Police Department, alongside prosecutors, has confirmed this charge, although they have not disclosed the identity of the victim involved in this alarming case.

The violent episode unfolded on March 30 at a residence on October Place in Rolla, a quaint city approximately 100 miles southwest of St. Louis. Authorities responded to the scene just before 6 p.m., following an emergency call about an assault, as detailed in a statement of probable cause obtained by Law&Crime.

The police were alerted by an employee working at the residence, who reported that a co-worker had been attacked by Wolfe, one of the residents. This call for help inevitably led to Wolfe’s arrest and his current legal predicament.

The reporting party was an employee at the residence who called police after a co-worker had been attacked by one of the residents, according to the charging document.

The probable cause statement says dispatch “relayed there was an injury to a fresh tattoo and the parties were separated.”

Both parties had been separated by the time police arrived, the officer noted, before proceeding to inspect the victim.

“I observed a large laceration to her throat about 3 inches tall and stretching the entire length of her throat,” the charging document continues. “There was a copious amount of blood, down the front of [the victim’s] chest that appeared to be drying. [The victim] was conscious and alert and advised she was not moving her neck.”

As the interview with the woman went on, the victim described making dinner for the defendant when signals got violently mixed.

“[The victim] stated she had cooked dinner for Wolfe and the other resident,” the probable cause statement goes on. “[The victim] advised Wolfe was upset and told her the macaroni and cheese she made belonged to him.”

Efforts to reason with the defendant failed, the victim told police.

“[The victim] advised she tried explaining to Wolfe that she made the dinner for him and the other resident when Wolfe grabbed her,” the charging document continues. [The victim] advised Wolfe pinned her against the wall and grabbed her throat. Wolfe then pulled the skin on [her] throat where she had just received a tattoo approximately 5 days prior. Wolfe ripped the skin from [her] neck, leaving the large laceration.”

The defendant also left scratch marks on the woman’s back and damaged her cellphone during the attack, police said.

The woman said she eventually got away from her assailant, who then sat back down at the kitchen table “and began playing on his tablet,” according to the probable cause statement.

Wolfe is currently detained in the Phelps County Jail on $250,000 bond, according to an arrest warrant obtained by Law&Crime. He is next slated to appear in court on April 6, records show.

Trump’s Bold Move: Advocating for Unprecedented Surge in Defense Budget

0

In a significant move, President Donald Trump has put forward a proposal to elevate defense spending to a staggering $A2.2 trillion in the 2027 budget unveiled overnight. This marks the largest defense budget request in decades, underscoring his administration’s preference for military investment over domestic agendas.

The proposed substantial increase of 44 percent for the Pentagon was anticipated by many, following President Trump’s prior indications, especially in light of the US-led conflict with Iran.

Within this budget framework, the president aims to cut non-defense program spending by 10 percent, redirecting resources towards military enhancement.

“President Trump has committed to reinforcing America’s national security framework, ensuring our nation’s safety in an increasingly perilous world,” stated Budget Director Russell Vought in a written commentary.

While the president’s annual budget serves as an expression of the administration’s priorities, it is important to note that it does not possess the authority of law.

The massive document typically highlights an administration’s priorities, but Congress, which handles federal spending issues, is free to reject it and often does.

Elon Musk’s Bold Move: SpaceX IPO Banks Urged to Adopt Grok AI Subscriptions

Earlier this week, Reuters reported that Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citigroup are serving as active bookrunners, leading the management of the IPO deal.

Inquiries from Reuters to Musk and SpaceX for comments went unanswered.

JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and Bank of America have declined to make any statements regarding the matter, while Morgan Stanley has not yet responded to requests for comment.

The Starbase, Texas-headquartered rocket maker boosted its target initial public offering valuation above $2 trillion, according to a Bloomberg News report a day earlier, setting the stage for what could become the largest stock market listing on record.

Illinois Accountability Commission Demands Testimony from Trump Officials on ‘Midway Blitz’ Operation Involving Chicago Border Patrol and ICE

0

CHICAGO (WLS) — On Friday, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker’s special commission, tasked with ensuring accountability for the Department of Homeland Security’s “Midway Blitz” immigration operation in the Chicago area, made a significant announcement.

The head of the Illinois Accountability Commission has requested testimony from current and former officials of the Trump administration regarding their roles in the operation, with hearings scheduled later this month. Local leaders and community activists are hopeful that these proceedings will deter any future large-scale immigration enforcement actions.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

The commission has issued eight requests for testimony, including one to Greg Bovino, the former Border Patrol Commander who became a prominent figure associated with “Midway Blitz.”

Meanwhile, in the Little Village neighborhood, there was a vibrant scene on the streets, filled with bustling commerce and community activity, reflecting the area’s reputation for lively street life.

However, street vendor Isabella Barraza observed, “It’s not as busy as it used to be. There used to be a lot more people walking around, right?”

During operation “Midway Blitz,” activity slowed to a crawl. People were afraid to go outside.

“They were staying home because they were fearful. And I’m not talking about undocumented residents. I’m talking about people with legal paperwork, people who are here on visas, people are here who are citizens of United States,” said 22nd Ward Ald. Mike Rodriguez.

“I think there’s still a lot of people that are scared, a lot of people that haven’t come out. I know we used to make way more money at the stand. It’s been a little slow,” Barraza said.

Now, the Illinois Accountability Commission has scheduled a pair of hearings for later this month.

The commission sent letters to current or former officials in the Trump administration, inviting them to appear virtually or in person, “to provide testimony and answer questions about the policies, directives, and decision-making processes that shaped Operation Midway Blitz.” The letters were sent to Bovino, Stephen Miller, Tom Homan, Kristi Noem, Tricia McLaughlin, Corey Lewandowski, Todd Lyons, and Rodney Scott.

“If they’re about accountability, I dare them to show up,” Rodriguez said. “They should show up in front of the citizens of Illinois and tell us why they caused this mayhem to our businesses and to our residents.”

Baltazar Enriquez with the Little Village Community Council spent countless days organizing volunteers to alert residents to the presence of ICE and Border Patrol agents.

“We know that their commission doesn’t have teeth, but it’s a step towards some type of justice, some type of clarity of who gave out the orders, who’s the one that pushed these tactics into the community,” Enriquez said.

He and others hope the hearings can make some difference regardless of whether Bovino, former DHS Secretary Noem, or the other officials show up.

“We got to put them on blast. We’ve got to put them on notice that we are watching, that we will hold them accountable, and in the future, look, I think in a different administration, we need to talk about prosecution here,” Rodriguez said.

While it seems highly unlikely that any of those officials invited to testify will actually show up, the hearings, set for April 27 and 28, will still go on as planned, providing another opportunity to publicly document the impact of operation “Midway Blitz.”

Pritzker issued a statement, saying, “I established the Illinois Accountability Commission to preserve the truth and document how Donald Trump and his accomplices violated the rights of Illinoisans and terrorized our communities during Operation Midway Blitz. These officials should answer directly to the people of Illinois for the chaos and violence they unleashed. Regardless of whether these officials are still in their roles or not, the people of Illinois demand accountability from them all.”

A DHS spokesperson issued a statement, saying, “Governor Pritzker continues to refuse to do his job to protect his citizens from illegal alien crime and instead chooses to smear our law enforcement. Where is his investigation into his own policies that allowed Sheridan Gorman’s killer to be released from jail to go on and commit her heinous murder?”

Johnson City Resident Detained Federally for Suspected Child Pornography Distribution

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — A Johnson City resident, already embroiled in legal troubles concerning a sexual exploitation of a minor charge, now finds himself in deeper waters. On Friday, Jeffrey Goodman, aged 59, was taken into federal custody, accused of distributing child pornography.

The Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) announced the latest developments, stating that Goodman was apprehended in Greeneville following the execution of a warrant on Thursday. The charges against him include possession and distribution of child pornography.

In a search of Goodman’s residence, officers uncovered a significant amount of incriminating evidence. This trove included thousands of images, videos, and communications sourced from various online platforms, highlighting the severity of the allegations.

Earlier this year, in March, a tip-off from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children set the wheels in motion for the investigation. A JCPD K-9 unit discovered multiple electronic devices at Goodman’s home. These items, including laptops, a phone, storage devices, and a television, were confiscated for further examination.

Authorities have indicated that Goodman could potentially face more charges as the investigation continues. For now, he is being held at the Washington County Detention Center.

Earle is currently in the middle of a press blitz for her new skincare line, Reale Actives.

The line reportedly sold out within hours of its launch on March 31.

According to Puck, the brand hit $1million in sales in just 5 minutes and is ‘shaping up to be one of the most successful celebrity beauty launches in history’.

Earle, who first shot to fame as a TikTok influencer, has been making more mainstream moves over the last year.

In September, she competed on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars, placing as the show’s runner-up behind winner Robert Irwin.

She was also one of the celebrities featured in Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue.

Earle is now completely focused on promoting and growing her skincare brand.

Reacting to the success of the brand on Instagram, Earle wrote, ‘SOLD OUT day 1 IS THIS REAL LIFE. Yesterday truly felt like I was in a dream. Watching you guys on the website from all around the world brought tears to my eyes. I cannot wait for you guys to get these amazing products into your hands.’

She continued, ‘When going over our launch strategy I wanted as many of you guys to be able to try these products as possible. We went back-ordered more than double of what we were planning to start with so we would be in stock and not sell out before you got to buy.

‘WE STILL SOLD OUT in ten hours and I seriously cannot believe those words are coming out of my mouth. LOVE YOU ALLLLLLLL and I’m so excited for you to get your reale actives!’

In January, Earle also launched her own YouTube series called Get Real With Me.

She already hosts her own podcast titled Hot Mess, which was previously part of Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network.

However, Earle’s show was abruptly dropped by Unwell last year amid rumors of a falling out between herself and Cooper.

‘That was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess,’ Earle told the Wall Street Journal of the situation.

‘Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell,’ Cooper said on social media.

‘I don’t know why she can’t/what’s going on. Unwell gave her everything back. She owns her IP.’

Australia’s Path to Energy Independence: Strategies to Reduce Oil Reliance

0

IN BRIEF

  • Fuel prices in Australia have surged amid Iran’s effective blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
  • Electric vehicles (EVs) are viewed as a practical solution for Australia to lessen its dependence on imported oil.

Amidst a worldwide fuel shortage, Australia is being urged to reconsider its fuel consumption strategies, according to industry specialists who describe the situation as a critical “wake-up call.”

The Department of Energy reports that a significant 90% of Australia’s liquid fuel is sourced from abroad, highlighting the nation’s heavy reliance on imports.

The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) has identified Australia as having the globe’s largest trade deficit in refined oil products. This designation places Australia among the countries most vulnerable to both current and potential disruptions in fuel supply.

Given the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict, with Iran effectively blocking the Strait of Hormuz—a crucial passage for approximately 20% of global oil flow—Australia faces the pressing need to strategize its fuel security in case of a supply halt.

This precarious scenario prompted a rare national address by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who cautioned Australians that “the months ahead may not be easy,” as escalating fuel costs could trigger further economic repercussions within communities. For more details, the Prime Minister’s full address can be accessed here.

Some experts say the answer to a more stable future may lie beyond oil.

“I think this is a really good wake-up call,” Hussein Dia, professor of transport technology and sustainability at Swinburne University, told SBS News.

“For a long time, Australia enjoyed a lot of prosperity … Essentially. If you wanted oil, it would arrive in time. We didn’t have these supply shocks, but now we are witnessing it firsthand.”

Since the transport sector accounts for up to 75 per cent of the country’s liquid fuel demand, experts suggest that significant solutions for reducing oil dependence could arise from changes in this sector.

‘Electrification’

Electric vehicles (EVs) are widely seen as a practical way for Australia to reduce its reliance on imported oil.

Dia said that this could be a “medium to long-term” solution for Australia.

“The most straightforward way to actually reduce our reliance on imported oil is to look at vehicle electrification,” he explained.

“By turning to electrification, we can reduce our reliance on that imported oil or even on oil altogether. The good thing about electrification is that electric vehicles and trucks are charged using electricity produced locally.

Dia acknowledged that “We do need to burn coal at the moment to generate electricity, but increasingly, we will have solar and wind”.

He suggested efforts should be concentrated on accelerating renewables.

The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries’ latest data show that in February, EV sales accounted for 11.8 per cent of the country’s car sales, representing a record-high monthly share.

This comes with a huge hike in the EV market globally, with more affordable cars being sold.

“If we were having this conversation, maybe two years ago, you and I would struggle to find an electric car for less than $50,000. Now, you can find them for $30,000 and $40,000,” Dia said.

“That’s a good story because it means consumers have more choice.”

However, compared with many other countries, Australia has fewer EV sales — these vehicles account for over 50 per cent of total sales in several countries, including Norway, China, Nepal, Denmark, and Finland.

“Unfortunately, Australia started from behind,” Dia said.

“But still, it is not too late,” and consumers would want to see more government policies in support of EVs and chargers, he said.

Currently, there is limited federal assistance available for buying EVs. Eligible zero or low-emissions vehicles are exempt from the fringe benefits tax, but the exemption for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles ended in April 2025.

The scheme is under review, and the government is considering a distance-based national road user charge for EVs.

The government is using the National Electric Vehicle Strategy to increase the supply of affordable EVs, encourage greater demand, and establish the resources needed.

But Dia said there should be “more”.

“Sometimes there is this inconsistency in government approaches,” he said. “They’re encouraging, for example, renewables, but at the same time, they’re also still investing in fossil fuel production and so forth … There needs to be a holistic approach.”

‘The moment for electric bikes’

There are also additional short-term benefits that electricity can provide to reduce dependence on oil.

According to Jago Dodson, a professor of urban policy at RMIT University, most trips within Australian cities are less than five kilometres, which can be “undertaken relatively easily” by electric bikes.

“This should be the moment for electric bikes for short trips, below five kilometres,” he told SBS News.

“Another thing that could start to be considered, although this is perhaps a little longer term than an immediate crisis response, is that we could look at options like electrifying the Hume Highway to provide catenary overwires that electric trucks could then draw charge from as they drive up.”

The Hume Highway is a major national highway running for 840 kilometres between Melbourne and Sydney.

Can biofuels be a solution?

Replacing oil may not rely on electricity alone.

Some are also pointing to biofuels as a potential way to replace at least part of the oil currently used in Australia.

“Bioenergy, and the subset of biofuels, are an energy source derived from biological materials. So wood, plant material, animal waste, oils from plants. All can be processed to produce fuels and energy,” Mark Brown, the current chair of the International Energy Agency Bioenergy Technology Collaboration Program, told SBS News.

Biofuels, including ethanol, may be combined with conventional fuels like oil to lessen dependence on other fuel sources. E10 is a type of biofuel that consists of a 10 per cent blend of ethanol mixed with regular petrol, available at most service stations.

“Bioenergy, more generally, is globally, as well as in Australia, a key component of the net zero transition,” Brown said.

He said “the strongest opportunity” for biofuels would be for diesel aviation fuel and shipping fuel, “that are considered to be challenging for other solutions like electrification to step into.”

According to Bioenergy Australia, the country is lagging behind countries such as the US, the UK, Canada, Brazil, Germany, Sweden, and New Zealand.

“We have the capacity in Australia today to produce as much as half a million litres of fuel a year, and we’re currently using about 30 per cent of that capacity,” Brown said.

“We could scale quite quickly to make some contribution, but to put that half million litres into context, that would roughly, if funded with our current fuel supply, be roughly two or 3 per cent of the total supply.

“The half million litres and some growth on that can be done quite quickly. The technology, infrastructure, supply chains, and networks exist.”

However, some warn that the production of biofuels can still depend on fossil fuels, potentially limiting their benefits.

Dodson said that “most agricultural production in Australia is heavily dependent on fossil fuels.”

“So yes, we can produce biofuels that then may be used in motor vehicles, but in order to produce those fuels, we’ve probably used almost as much diesel or petrol, more likely diesel, to actually produce the agricultural products that can then be turned into oil.

“It’s actually difficult to get a big gain in additional energy by the time it makes its way into the car.

“At scale, it’s not really going to solve many of our challenges and problems.”

‘Expanding’ public transport network

Beyond alternative fuels, experts say reducing oil dependence will also require changes to how Australians move around their cities and to the public transport system as a whole.

With the current fuel shortage, Victoria and Tasmania have offered free public transport for a limited time to encourage people to use their cars less.

“I’ve tended to be a bit sceptical of free public transport as a solution to transport problems, in part because use of public transport is in part dependent on the quality of the service,” Dodson said.

“If it were already providing a good quality service, then people would be using it irrespective of the fairly modest price that it’s currently set at.”

Instead, he suggests “expanding our public transport networks in our cities”.

“That’s relatively hard to do if we’re thinking about large-scale fixed public transport infrastructure … But we should be accelerating and expanding our planning for our metropolitan rail networks,” he said.

“Comparatively, it is easy to roll out new bus networks. All you really need is some rolling stock, a bit of signage, and a few bus stops to be put out there, and some timetable updates.

“We should be looking at rolling out new electric bus rolling stock to create go-anywhere, anytime public transport networks across the entirety of our metropolitan areas.”

Breaking News: Shocking Florida Murder—Random Stabbing Shatters Quiet Neighborhood

0

A 25-year-old individual is facing murder charges after allegedly committing a random fatal stabbing in a tranquil neighborhood in South Florida, as reported by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Kersten Francilus, who resides in a nearby area, is accused of assaulting a woman in her 70s while she was out walking her dog on Friday in the Southwood neighborhood of Stuart, according to Sheriff John Budensiek.

Prior to the incident, locals had alerted deputies about a suspicious man who was going from door to door and posing peculiar questions.

“We’ve had several calls from this community. The Southwood neighborhood, known for its serenity and affluence in Martin County, reported numerous sightings of a suspicious male moving door to door, engaging with various residents,” Budensiek stated during a press briefing.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Kersten Francilus, aged 25, has been charged with murder in connection to the brutal and unprovoked stabbing of the elderly woman.

“He asked several times, several different people where the new bank was. There’s no bank around here,” he said.

Witnesses described the man as calm and nonconfrontational during those encounters, the sheriff said.

A short time later, authorities received additional calls reporting that the same man was attacking a woman in a cul-de-sac.

A deputy who was already en route to investigate the suspicious activity arrived to find the suspect “actively stabbing” the victim while she lay on the ground, Budensiek said.

“Our suspect was on top of her, actually actively stabbing her,” he said.

A brave good Samaritan attempted to intervene but was unable to stop the attack before deputies arrived, officials said.

When confronted by the deputy, Francilus immediately dropped the knife and surrendered.

The victim suffered stab wounds to the upper torso and was transported to Cleveland Clinic Martin South, where she died, authorities said.

“This was a violent, vile homicide,” Budensiek said.

Police said there is no known connection between Francilus and the victim, and no clear motive has been identified.

“At this point, this appears like an extremely violent, random act of violence,” Budensiek said.

Francilus was taken into custody at the scene and later booked into the Martin County Jail. Authorities said the knife used in the attack was a steak knife believed to have come from his home.

The sheriff’s office said Francilus has no known criminal history, though deputies had previously responded to a call involving him acting strangely at his residence.

Budensiek said residents were wise to report the man’s peculiar behavior.

“The community did what they needed to do. They saw something that wasn’t right. They called the Martin County Sheriff’s Office,” he said.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name.
