ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando woman is suing a well known cookie company after saying the company continued to send her promotional text messages after she opted out of receiving them, according to the lawsuit records.

The lawsuit, brought by Ashley Jimenez and “all others similarly situated,” alleges that Crumbl Franchising LLC “does not honor consumer requests to opt-out of text message solicitations” after the company sent at least two texts after the woman opted out.

The class action lawsuit states that Jimenez asked Crumbl to stop contacting her on Nov.7, 2024 but the company continued to send her text messages on Nov. 15 and Dec. 4 of the same year.

According to the suit, the company’s texts caused Jimenez and others “harm, including statutory damages, inconvenience, invasion of privacy, aggravation, annoyance, and violation of their statutory privacy rights.”

The lawsuit asks for a jury trial.
