GEORGIA () – A Thomson resident is now facing charges of human trafficking and sexual exploitation involving a minor, as announced by Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr.
Jimmy Mance, aged 40, was taken into custody and charged in April. His charges include serious offenses related to the exploitation of a 17-year-old girl.
- Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude in violation of O.C.G.A. § 16-5-46: Did unlawfully harbor a minor for the purpose of sexual servitude
- Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude in violation of O.C.G.A. § 16-5-46: Did unlawfully provide a minor for the purpose of sexual servitude
- Sexual Exploitation of a Child in violation of O.C.G.A. § 16-12-100: Did possess a material which depicts a minor in any sexually explicit conduct
- Sexual Exploitation of a Child in violation of O.C.G.A. § 16-12-100: Did possess a material which depicts a minor in any sexually explicit conduct
The young victim was initially reported missing last year but was located in December. Following her recovery, Mance was charged by the Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit after she revealed that she had been coerced into sexual activities for profit.
“Once we have rescued a victim, our commitment is unwavering to ensure all their traffickers are apprehended and incarcerated,” stated AG Carr. “We appreciate the support from our law enforcement partners in the CSRA, who have embraced our Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit and stood by us in this battle. This child deserves complete justice, and we are determined to achieve just that.”
