A major bridge reconstruction initiative is about to kick off in Neoga, Illinois, as announced by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). The project, valued at $54.6 million, will involve the complete overhaul of the bridges on Interstate 57 that span U.S. Route 45.
The extensive project is scheduled to unfold in two phases, with work on the southbound bridge slated for 2026, followed by reconstruction of the northbound bridge in 2027. Preparations for this significant infrastructure improvement are set to commence early next week.
