SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Authorities have disclosed the cause behind the untimely demise of Victoria Jones, daughter of renowned actor Tommy Lee Jones.
The 34-year-old was discovered lifeless by law enforcement at the upscale Fairmont San Francisco hotel in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
On Wednesday, the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner informed Nexstar’s KRON that Victoria’s death was classified as an “accident,” attributed to the “toxic effects of cocaine.”
According to court documents accessed by KRON, Jones had been three months pregnant before her passing. In October 2025, her defense lawyer communicated that she was unable to attend a Santa Cruz County court session for drug-related charges, seeking a postponement. The attorney noted, “Counsel is informed and does believe that Ms. Jones is pregnant.”
It remains uncertain whether she remained pregnant at the time of her unexpected death.

Victoria Jones appeared in her father’s 2002 film “Men in Black II.”
She was arrested last year in Santa Cruz County for being under the influence of alcohol and the drug toluene. She was “unable to exercise care for (her) own safety and the safety of others,” court documents state.
Jones was also arrested at her Napa home in 2025 while she was under the influence of cocaine, TMZ reported.
