A man accused of breaking into residences in the Lake Nona area was arrested on Monday, as seen on body-worn camera video shared Saturday by the Orlando Police Department.

Officers were allegedly called by multiple people requesting a response to burglaries in the area around 1 a.m., with surveillance footage from the 11000 block of Lorenza Lane showing an individual — identified by police as Brayan Rodriguez, 26 — in what appears to be someone’s backyard. One of the callers told dispatchers that she screamed upon seeing Rodriguez, prompting him to run, according to the video.

Police located and caught up with Rodriguez after officers reported seeing and hearing him in another backyard, making his arrest as the 26-year-old allegedly tried to climb a fence.

Captions on the video stated “officers quickly connected (Rodriguez) to several other (burglaries) and attempted burglaries that happened just a few nights prior,” though this aspect was not elaborated on.
