PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. — On Monday, Parker’s Kitchen was awarded the Wounded Warrior Project’s (WWP) prestigious Corporate Partner of the Year distinction. This accolade is a significant acknowledgment of the company’s unwavering dedication to aiding veterans in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry areas.
As the recipient of WWP’s highest national impact recognition, Parker’s Kitchen was applauded for its extensive support and contribution towards veteran assistance programs. The award was presented to Greg Parker, the executive chairman of Parker’s, during a special ceremony at their Port Wentworth branch.

WWP CEO Walt Piatt praised Parker’s Kitchen, stating, “We are honored to celebrate Parker’s Kitchen as the Corporate Partner of the Year. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in advancing our mission to assist warriors, families, and caregivers. Through their record-setting round-up campaign donation, they have greatly contributed to helping warriors rediscover hope and purpose with the support of transformative programs. Partners like Parker’s Kitchen are vital in returning warriors home mentally, physically, and spiritually, and for that, we are profoundly grateful.”
The partnership between Parker’s Kitchen and the Wounded Warrior Project, which began in 2024, continues to play a crucial role in providing veterans with essential services and programs.
Parker’s Kitchen has partnered with WWP since 2024 to help veterans get the services and programs they need.
WWP’s programs focus on mental health, financial wellness, physical health and recovery, long-term rehabilitative care and connection with fellow veterans. All programs are at no cost to the warriors and their families.
“At Parker’s Kitchen, we share a deep commitment to making a transformative impact on the communities we serve and to helping local veterans who have bravely served our nation,” said Parker’s Kitchen Executive Chairman Greg Parker. “We’re incredibly grateful for the remarkable generosity of our customers throughout our latest round-up campaign. They understand that when you shop at Parker’s Kitchen, your money stays local and makes a positive impact right here in the community.”
Over the past three years, the company has donated a total of $1,035,000 to support local veterans, their families, and caregivers through Wounded Warrior Project.
During Monday’s event, Parker’s Kitchen also presented WWP with a donation of $375,000 from the company’s most recent round-up campaign. Parker’s Kitchen matched 25% of all customer round-up donations. In May, they doubled that match to 50% in honor of National Military Appreciation Month.
