Family mourns loved one killed in New Year’s Day shooting in Pasco County

The New Year started on a tragic note in Port Richey, Florida, where a celebration turned fatal in the early hours of January 1st. A heated dispute between two acquaintances erupted into gunfire outside a bustling shopping center.

The incident, currently under investigation by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, unfolded around 12:30 a.m. at the Gulf View Square Mall on U.S. 19. Authorities reported that the confrontation between the two individuals quickly escalated, resulting in shots being fired.
