2 drug houses shut down in Aiken Co., 3 men arrested

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. () – Aiken County Narcotics Investigators seized guns, money, drugs; and arrested 3 people according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Two in January, investigators shut down drug houses in the Wagener and Perry areas according to Sheriff Sawyer.

Authorities say complaints from citizens in both towns assisted and led to the arrest of 34-year-old James Labront Sanders, 37-year-old Andrew Sampson, and 41-year-old Phillip Michael Ginyard along with the seizure of illegal drugs, money, and guns.

“We are focused on working in all areas of Aiken County to combat all types of crime” said Sheriff Sawyer. “If you are dealing drugs and think you can hide in rural Aiken County, you are wrong.”

On January 16th, investigators executed a search warrant at 116 Washington Road in Wagener.

During this investigation, investigators arrested Sanders for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

Sanders was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center

On January 27th, the result of a search warrant at 269 Roberts Street E. in Perry, lead to the arrest of Sampson and Ginyard but also Sampson who was arrested on the 16th of January.

These suspects were charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in Crack Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II (Oxycodone) Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime and Operating a Stash House.

All were booked into the Detention Center.

“As the Sheriff, I look forward to working with the 2nd Circuit Solicitor in making sure all criminal cases are punished to the fullest extent of the law.” These investigations are ongoing where further charges may be forthcoming.
