ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WJHL) — In a swift decision, a federal jury convicted Sean William, an alleged serial rapist and previously convicted child sex offender, on charges of methamphetamine possession with the intent to distribute. This conviction, determined after less than two hours of jury deliberation in a two-day trial in the Western District of North Carolina, carries a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years.

The jury, comprising eight men and four women, also found Williams guilty of a lesser charge—simple possession of cocaine. Initially, he had faced charges for possession with intent to distribute both meth and cocaine, following a police search of his vehicle on April 29, 2023, in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
