ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orange County courthouse reopened Wednesday after an hours-long lockdown triggered by a shooting at a nearby parking garage. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are continuing to search for the suspect.
Authorities responded at about 11:30 a.m. and found a woman who had been fired at by someone she knew. She was not struck by the gunfire, deputies said.
The person accused in the shooting ran from the parking garage before law enforcement arrived.
A witness told News 6 that the woman identified her husband as the shooter.
Witness Fero Alhajjah said the woman appeared extremely upset after the incident. “She was like crying so bad. I was like, you okay? She was like, my husband tried to shoot me. My husband trying to shoot me,” Alhajjah told News 6. “I was like, are you fine? You okay now? And she was like, no, I’m not fine.”

Alhajjah said deputies acted quickly after talking with the woman at the scene.
A courthouse source told News 6 that the shooting occurred on the garage’s first floor. Authorities were using drones to search each level for the suspect, the source said.
