Heat indices 100-105 degrees.
ORLANDO, Fla. – Sunday
This Sunday promises another warm and balmy day, though there’s some positive news to note! Temperatures are expected to remain below heat advisory levels, making the heat less intense than recent days. We anticipate highs reaching the mid-90s, with heat indices peaking between 100 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the chance of rain is on the horizon. A stronger westerly air current is forecasted to bring enhanced chances for showers around the I-4 corridor and further east in the afternoon.
Starting around noon, scattered storms are expected to develop near I-75, gradually moving eastward towards I-4 by early to mid-afternoon. As the day progresses, rain is likely to continue spreading toward the east coast beaches. These storms are anticipated to dissipate around sunset.
Next Week
Looking ahead to next week, a fresh wave of Saharan Dust is anticipated to sweep into Central Florida. This influx is likely to dry out the atmosphere while simultaneously ramping up the temperatures.
Rain chances will be shaved by 10% each day until we bottom out at 20% by Wednesday. Temperatures, in turn, will soar back into the upper 90s with heat indices crossing north of 105ºF.
