The honorees included five football players alongside one standout soccer athlete.

The recipients hailed from various locations, extending from the city to as far as Long County.

  • Joshua Washington (Benedictine)
  • Raleigh Wesley (Bethesda)
  • Liv Rotker (Woodville-Tompkins)
  • Demetrius Holloway (Jenkins)
  • Tusiofo Tiapula (Long County)
  • Gary Maxwell (Savannah)

“Receiving a scholarship from the quarterback club is a huge honor,” Washington shared. “With my dad being involved, it adds a special significance to accepting this scholarship.”

Raleigh Wesley, who was a part of this year’s state championship team for Bethesda, added, “I was shocked because I work hard for this and my previous teammates have [received this award in the past]. I was like, hey, what I got to do to get there? And I made it.”
