Starting at midnight on Friday, New York City’s JFK International Airport implemented Ebola screening procedures for passengers, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
This screening is specifically for travelers arriving from countries currently affected by Ebola, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda.
Prior to this, enhanced public health entry screening has already been in place at other major U.S. airports, including Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C., Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.
