SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Brace yourself for the last of the pleasant weather today. Expect high temperatures to hit the mid-60s, which is typical for this season. This morning, a cold front will sweep through, bringing a few showers and extra clouds. However, those clouds will clear up by the afternoon, allowing sunshine and dry conditions to prevail.
As the day progresses, it will become noticeably breezy, with winds blowing at 10 to 15 mph and gusts potentially hitting 30 mph. Tonight, temperatures will take a sharp drop due to the cold front, falling into the lower 20s across much of the area. Factoring in the wind, it will feel like it’s between 5 and 15 degrees.

A Weather Aware Day is set for tonight, as well as tomorrow and Tuesday morning. Despite abundant sunshine, tomorrow’s temperatures will only peak in the lower to mid-40s, maintaining the cold spell. As night falls, temperatures will slide back into the mid-20s, but with lighter winds, it won’t feel as harsh. On Tuesday afternoon, temperatures will start to rise again, reaching the mid to upper 50s, and by Wednesday, we can expect a return to the mid-60s.

As you prepare for tonight’s chill, remember the four P’s: people, pets, pipes, and plants. Check in on elderly family members and neighbors, layer up, ensure the heat is on, bring pets inside, and safeguard any vulnerable plants.
