In Savannah, Georgia, the rain that soaked the region on Saturday is expected to let up briefly before another wave of precipitation arrives on Sunday.
Saturday saw a mix of persistent light rain interspersed with heavier downpours across the area. However, a bit of relief is on the horizon as drier air moves in overnight, giving residents a short respite from the rain until Sunday.

As Sunday unfolds, a new weather disturbance is set to bring more moisture, resulting in another bout of steady rainfall. Those residing south of Interstate 16 should brace for the heaviest showers, although the entire region is likely to experience at least part of the day under a blanket of rain.
By evening, the rain chances are expected to decrease significantly as drier air reestablishes itself. Following this, a cold front will push through the area by Monday, offering one last chance for showers in the morning. Some sunny spells might peek through, signaling a shift in the weather pattern.
The arrival of colder air on Tuesday will bring about a noticeable change, with temperatures dropping to the point of a widespread freeze anticipated for both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Despite the sunshine expected on these days, Tuesday will be brisk, with high temperatures only reaching into the 50s. However, a gradual warming trend is predicted for the latter part of the week before yet another cold front makes its approach.
