TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today starts out warm and mostly cloudy. Temperatures climb into the low 80s this afternoon, and it will feel more humid.

Storms arrive in the afternoon, and some stronger storms are possible in Citrus and Hernando counties. The risk for severe weather there is a 1 out of 5, with the most likely threat coming from damaging wind gusts in the storms.

Rain chances spread across the Tampa Bay area through the evening, and we could see a few passing showers overnight. The cold front pushes through tomorrow morning, so more rain is expected during the Thursday morning commute.

By tomorrow afternoon, less humid air arrives, and the rain and clouds clear out quickly. Highs stay in the mid 70s Thursday with a cool breeze from the northwest.

We are in for a Top 5 weather weekend! Humidity remains low through early next week. Mornings are cool and crisp, and the afternoons will be warm and sunny. Be sure to wear sunscreen because it feels so nice you may spend more time than normal in the sunshine.

It might be just a little cool for the Easter Sunrise Services at 7:20am Sunday, but it warms up quickly.

Our next rain chance doesn’t come until Wednesday of next week.
