Teenager Sought in Connection to Aggravated Assault Case in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Authorities from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office are currently on the lookout for a 16-year-old suspect, believed to be involved in an aggravated assault case.

The teenager, Kuwang Bentley Jr., is wanted in connection with a reported incident of aggravated assault that occurred on the 2300 block of Travis Pines Drive in Augusta on May 18, 2026.

Officials have issued a warning that Bentley is considered armed and dangerous.

At present, there are active warrants for his arrest.

An incident report details that deputies were called to a residence on Travis Pines Drive following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered approximately four bullet holes in a bedroom window and two more on the exterior of the home near the window.

RCSO said deputies located additional evidence, and the case was turned over to investigators.
