JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Anticipated rainfall in the region may not significantly impact the ongoing drought, according to insights shared by Tennessee State Climatologist Andrew Joyner on Thursday.

Joyner indicated that while precipitation is expected, the amount may not be sufficient to substantially alter the current drought situation. However, it could address some of the immediate issues stemming from the dry conditions.
