Tony Berry Receives 21-Year Sentence for Kidnapping and Murder of Krystal Anderson

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. () – Tony Berry has received a prison sentence following his guilty plea to Manslaughter and Kidnapping in connection with the 2022 killing of Krystal Anderson in Aiken County.

The Aiken County Judicial Center announced that Berry was given 21 years for Voluntary Manslaughter and an additional 21 years for Kidnapping. The sentences will run concurrently.

Krystal Anderson, a mother of four, was reported missing by her family in August 2022 after she failed to communicate with them. She and Berry had been in a relationship for eight years.

When Anderson showed no further signs of activity, Berry became a suspect in her kidnapping and was later charged with her murder.

Anderson’s remains were discovered on May 13, 2026, in Barnwell County.

“Today, the Second Judicial Circuit Solitior’s Office recognizes that no amount of time is enough when a life is taken, but hopes that this resolution brings some modicum of justice and allows the family some closure for this horrific crime,” the statement release Friday reads in part.
