MANDAN, N.D. () — The geese flying north are not the only ones that are flocking out in the sun this weekend. This warm weather seems to be up to “par” for those in Mandan. The Prairie west golf course opened its doors for the first time for the season Saturday.
The golf course was able to open up its driving ranges. However, the greens are not yet open for public use.
Golf course officials say there was near a hundred golfers at the range on Saturday and they plan to remain open until Monday. After Monday, their hours will be weather pending until the official start to the season.
“People were excited and anxious we had a really busy start and we’ve been steady throughout the day and the next couple of days look nice too next week looks like there’s some really nice days. we’re just happy to be here and hope the weather stays like this,” said Brent Weber, a Prairie West Golf Official.
If nice weather continues next weekend, the course will open again. For more information about Prairie West golf course and their hours of operation, head to their website.
