The three headed to different departments and took a large amount of merchandise off store shelves including electronics, clothing and jewelry. They then left the store without paying, police said.

Store employees reported the theft to police and officers arriving in the area spotted the suspects’ SUV nearby.

As officers drove closer to the SUV, the vehicle stopped in a neighborhood where the teen boy hopped out and began running. He climbed over a backyard wall in an attempt to escape.

His parents were eventually pulled over and taken into custody for retail theft. The teen boy was located and arrested shortly after.

No further details, including their identities, were released as the incident remains under investigation.

Footage of the retail theft can be seen in the video player above.
