GRAY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A man was arrested on Monday and charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly pointed a gun at two people in Gray and threatened to shoot them, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reports.

A release from the WCSO said the charges stem from an incident that took place on Sunday in the 500 block of Old Stage Road. Deputies responded to a residence where Khalil Scott, 28, allegedly pointed a firearm and threatened two people. The release said Scott left the scene before police arrived.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) apprehended Scott on Monday, where he was arrested and charged for an incident that occurred before the alleged assault. The release said Scott was charged by the THP with leaving the scene of a crash, driving on a suspended license and due care.

The WCSO charged Scott with two counts of aggravated assault, according to the release. He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center on a $102,000 bond.
