A BUS driver was violently attacked while mid-driving after denying a passenger’s request causing a crash into a storefront.
Tihron Harrison, 23, punched and pulled the bus driver from his seat – leaving the bus with no diver for about a minute in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma.
Lt. Jeff Cooper with the Oklahoma City Police Department explained the attack occurred after a slight conversation.
Harrison requested to be let off the bus at a specific corner, but the driver informed him he couldn’t do that.
The bus driver told Harrison he would need to get off at the next designated stop because that is the city policy.
“The suspect asked to be let off at the intersection of Britton and Western,” Cooper said NBC affiliate KFOR reported.
“The bus driver told him he couldn’t do that.”
Jason Ferbrache, OKC Director of Public Transportation and Parking Department said the bus driver got medical treatment for some bruises.
“Obviously (the driver) had some bumps and bruises.
“We got him to medical facilities right after and he’s off work now but doing well.”
Ferbrache empathized with the bus driver and explained it would be tough for anyone to be put in the situation of being attacked while driving.
“When you run into a situation like that, no matter how much training you have,” Ferbrache said.
“It’s very difficult to prepare for somebody really assaulting you while you’re operating a vehicle in motion.”
Harrison ran from the scene but cops eventually got him, KFOR reported.
ATTACK CAUGHT ON TAPE
The camera on the bus caught the horror moment Harrison began the assault.
Harrison is seen speaking to the bus driver and quickly getting agitated which led to him swinging his fist past protective plexiglass in between them.
The attack got violent almost instantly as Harrisson continued to whale the bus driver as he was mid-driving.
Harrison pulled the bus driver out of his seat and then hooked onto him and grabbed his face.

The bus driver attempted to fight Harrison back but was pulled onto the ground by his neck.
Another man on the bus tried to intervene and pull Harrison off the bus driver but he would not stop attacking.
The bus driver finally got free from Harrison’s grasp but the bus was headed straight for a storefront.
As the bus driver stood up, the bus crashed right into the building of the store.
