Fitness Coach Sam Wood’s Episode Vanishes From Hamish Blake’s Podcast

Hamish Blake has quietly taken down a podcast episode featuring former Bachelor star Sam Wood, following Wood’s domestic violence charges.

The How Other Dads Dad segment was released in October 2023 under the title How Sam Wood Dads, but the episode is no longer accessible.

Although the episode description remains online, the audio link now displays the message: ‘The clip does not exist or may be private’.

The description previously said Wood ‘speaks openly, honestly and without pretence’, adding that ‘his positivity makes him a joy to listen to’.

‘If you only think of Sam as an ex Bachelor contestant, prepare to have your perceptions changed,’ the description stated.

‘He’s a man committed to being a better dad, but knows only too well it takes work and it’s not easy!’

In the episode, Wood discussed becoming a father to a nine-year-old stepdaughter before having four daughters of his own just eight years later. He also spoke about encouraging adventure and positivity in his children each day.

The conversation also covered the death of Wood’s mother when he was a teenager.

The description said Wood recounted the difficult birth of his fourth daughter and the impact her lengthy hospital stay had on him and his family. It described the interview as ‘a beautifully honest chat’.

Daily Mail has contacted Hamish Blake for comment.

Wood was denied bail on Thursday after being charged with domestic violence offences allegedly involving his wife, Snezana.

At a bail hearing in Maroochydore Magistrates Court, prosecutors alleged that Wood pushed his wife into a wardrobe, grabbed her by the throat, threw her against a wall and hit her head against the floor during an incident at the couple’s luxury Noosa apartment.

The court heard that Snezana feared she would die during the alleged attack.

Wood was arrested last Saturday night at the family’s luxury apartment in the La Mer complex on Hastings Street, Noosa.

During Thursday’s hearing, police prosecutor Sergeant Janette Grigoris told the court that Wood’s 21-year-old stepdaughter, Eve, had called Triple Zero and reported that her mother had allegedly been choked.

Prosecutors also alleged that Wood’s behaviour had been ‘escalating’. Police told the court they had previously attended a ‘similar’ incident involving the couple in Victoria.

The earlier incident did not lead to a formal complaint, the court heard.

Photographs of Snezana’s alleged injuries were presented during the hearing, while prosecutors told the court she was living in fear of retribution.

Wood’s solicitor Mathew Cuskelly disputed the prosecution’s version of events, maintaining his client denied strangling or assaulting his wife.

His legal team has indicated he intends to defend the charges and may rely on self-defence.

Acting Magistrate Janelle Boegheim ultimately refused bail.

Mr Cuskelly confirmed on Friday his client would apply for bail in Queensland’s Supreme Court.

Wood remains entitled to the presumption of innocence, and the allegations against him have not been proven in court.
