Governor Walz Urges Federal Support for Recovery After Devastating ICE Raids

Some individuals exhibit an astounding level of audacity and absence of shame—among them are former President Bill Clinton and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is now proving to be part of this group. Despite Minnesota’s refusal to support federal efforts in managing the immigration issues under President Joe Biden’s administration, and despite consistently disparaging agents working to restore order in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Walz seems oblivious to a large-scale Somali fraud operation allegedly amassing nine billion dollars. Yet, this Democratic leader seems to believe federal taxpayers should foot the bill for his shortcomings.

Walz implies, in essence, that since ICE has been harsh, federal funds should be forthcoming:

The true “generational trauma” in Minneapolis occurred in 2020. During that time, nicknamed “Gov. Jazz Hands,” Walz stood by as arsonists set fire to large portions of the city. His wife reportedly found enjoyment in the chaos during the George Floyd protests. Yet, Walz was seemingly unfazed, aligning with what he perceived as a just cause.

However, when it comes to addressing illegal immigration or combating crime, Walz, often mockingly referred to as “Tampon Tim,” is notably absent:

Of course, the real “generational trauma” experienced in Minneapolis came in 2020, when the man known to some as “Gov. Jazz Hands” watched idly by as arsonists torched huge swaths of the city, and his wife enjoyed the smell of the burning tires during the George Floyd riots. But that was all good with him, because it was for the right cause.

But when it comes to trying to get a grip on the illegal alien problem, or fighting crime, Tampon Tim is not on board:

“The federal government needs to pay for what they broke here,” said Walz. “There [is] going to be accountability on the things that happened, but one of the things is the incredible and immense costs that were borne by the people of this state. The federal government needs to be responsible. You don’t get to break things and then just leave without doing something about it.”

If Walz and his deranged attorney general, Keith Ellison, had simply encouraged cooperation with federal law agencies — who were enforcing measures passed by the U.S. Congress — and dialed down their incendiary rhetoric, then many of the bad things that went down in the Twin Cities probably wouldn’t have happened.

You own this, Walz, but now you think the hard-working American taxpayer should send your state more money? You may not have many impressive leadership qualities, but you sure do have a whole lot of gall.

Luckily, he’s abandoned his reelection bid and hopefully will remain but a painful memory.
