For Harry and Meghan, it appears there is always another complication.
Just two days after Archie and Lilibet began school in the UK — shortly after the family’s return to Britain — the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly removed the children from the school.
The reason given, according to the account, was security.
That development raises questions about Meghan Markle’s long-established reputation for meticulous planning.
Since marrying Prince Harry, Meghan has often been portrayed as intensely detail-oriented, with reports of early-morning emails to staff framed as evidence of someone whose standards are difficult for others to match.
Yet critics may ask whether a carefully planned school move should have included a full assessment of the potential security issues before the children were enrolled in a new school in an unfamiliar country.
Harry is not exempt from scrutiny. Still, he is often cast as the more inexperienced figure, seemingly less equipped to navigate the everyday practicalities involved.
The episode also invites speculation over whether it could feature in Harry and Meghan’s continuing push for taxpayer-funded security — protection they lost after stepping back from working royal duties and moving abroad as private citizens.

As usual with these two, it’s been chaos since they arrived back in Britain.
You’d think that having been widely mocked on SNL UK last weekend would have given them pause. Then again, if South Park’s ‘Worldwide Privacy Tour’ episode couldn’t do it, clearly nothing can.
And they will doubtless keep blaming everything and everyone else – even as they continue to insist that their own personal security is at grave risk.
Harry and Meghan reportedly had no idea how heavy traffic gets during school drop-off and pick-up.
As someone who spends a good deal of time on rural Long Island, with only one main road in and out, I humbly suggest that this should not have come as a surprise.
They also reportedly had Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, ferried to school in a convoy — and you don’t need to be a security expert to think that sounds unadvisable.
That a caravan of dark SUVs — amid muddy Land Rovers and sportscars — would fairly announce in glaring lights that the Sussexes have arrived.
Might a lower-key arrival and drop off have been better? An attempt to blend in, not stand out?
It’s understood that checks on the route were done before the start of term time. Were the school and other parents not properly consulted? At rush hour, the drive takes up to an hour one way.

The former Chief Superintendent of the Met Police, Dal Babu, called the whole debacle a ‘saga’ indicative of a ‘rushed’ move back.
‘It does beggar belief why they haven’t thought this through,’ he said.
Respectfully, Mr Babu: Does it? Does it, really?
One mother of students at the school said that the Sussexes’ furor over the school run had left other parents ‘completely baffled’.
‘You don’t need to be an expert,’ she said, ‘to know how congested that area is. It’s one of the worst places to drive in the UK.’
Though the Sussexes have declined comment, reports are that on one school run, the convoy of vehicles got separated, which was said to have left the children ‘sitting ducks’ in traffic.
Harry and Meghan did, however, let it be known via friends that they were ‘reluctantly’ removing the children from school.
Additionally, Meghan is said to be disappointed that her mobile number was being shared among other parents — even though she messaged other parents on WhatsApp from said number.
The alleged message, circulating in a screenshot: ‘Hi moms! Thanks for the warm welcome [heart emoji]. So happy to be a part of this community xx’
Thoroughly anodyne. Nice, even. So what’s the big deal?
Does Meghan not have at least two cell phones? One for necessary communications such as this, and another that is wholly private?
Hey — at least now she may have a sense of how Kate felt when her private text messages to Meghan were reprinted in Harry’s memoir Spare.
If Harry and Meghan’s track record is anything to go by, they’ll continue demanding privacy and security while making utter spectacles of themselves, feeding their own grandiosity by bellowing how important they are.
As former head of royal protection Dai Davies told LBC radio, ‘If you keep a low profile, most people outside the school wouldn’t know where you are, what they’re doing, and all the rest of it.’
Yes! It really is that simple.
Why not let the world continue to think their children are still enrolled at the school for the moment?
As ever, it seems logic does not apply.
