During the New York Democratic primary night, candidates endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) achieved sweeping victories in their three targeted congressional races. Many other DSA-affiliated candidates also experienced significant success. Once the final tallies were in, Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) delivered a speech applauding the outcomes. However, a crowd at a DSA victory party responded with boos and chants of “you’re next,” expressing dissatisfaction with Jeffries’ perceived moderate stance.
