On Monday, the White House refused to take a hard stance against the pro-Hamas protesters who have been calling for the genocide of Jews and the destruction of Israel across the United States.
When pressed on the matter by Fox News’ Peter Doocy (who continues to be one of the few reporters asking tough questions), White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre gave a series of meandering non-answers replete with grammatical errors.

DOOCY: Does President Biden think the anti-Israel protesters in this country are extremists?
JEAN-PIERRE: What I can say is what we’ve been very clear about this, when it comes to antisemitism, there is no place. We have to make sure that we speak against it very loud and be very clear about that. Remember, what the president decided, when the president decided to run for president, is what he saw in Charlottesville in 2017.
He saw neo-nazis marching down the streets of Charlottesville with vile antisemitic hatred, and he was very clear then, and he’s very clear now. He’s taken actions against this over the past two years and he’s continued to be clear. There is no place, no place for this type of vile, and despite this kind of rhetoric.

All of those words just to avoid saying, “Yes, people who chant for the death of Jews on college campuses and in the streets of American cities are extremists.” Instead, Jean-Pierre decided to bring up Charlottesville, which fits given that Biden never minced words when talking about that situation. Yet, when it comes to what’s happening now, suddenly, the White House wants to be coy about the matter.
In other words, when antisemitism is coming from a relatively tiny group of clownish, tiki-torch-wielding white supremacists, Biden can whole-heartedly condemn them. When that antisemitism is coming from the far-left in much greater numbers, he then has to tip-toe around it lest he offend the pro-Hamas wing of his party.
Doocy gave it another shot and got the same runaround.

I won’t bother to transcribe that exchange, but the condensed version is that Jean-Pierre once again refused to condemn the pro-Hamas protests occurring on college campuses, many of which have included calls for genocide. Again, when the antisemites fit the narrative, there is no obfuscation from Biden and his handlers. When Democrats are the ones doing the chanting, though, suddenly they don’t want to answer. It’s pathetic and cowardly, and it’s obvious to everyone paying attention.
Right now, there are multiple Charlottesvilles happening every single day, and almost all of them are on a much larger scale. To continue to pretend that a relatively tiny march in 2017 is somehow unique is silly. If the White House truly cared about antisemitism, they would explicitly condemn it when it occurs on their own side. That they won’t is concerning, to say the least.
